Use dental silicone "wax" to help protect the mouth from the braces brackets. Because Brace Gard strips are unaffected by enzymes in the mouth, they will not crumble, so they last longer and are softer and more malleable than regular traditional dental wax. The containers come in assorted colors, with instructions.

Your braces brackets must be completely dry for silicone wax to adhere properly. It can be taken off and re-used after you brush your teeth.
